This was an opportunity to do two caricatures. Plus there was a very funny story in the NY Times about this meeting. Here is a quote:
After all, the Libyan leader had professed his “love” for the American secretary of state. “I support my darling black African woman,” Colonel Qaddafi told the network Al Jazeera last year. “I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders.”
He continued: “Yes, Leezza, Leezza, Leezza... I love her very much.”
I had to majorly photoshop this because the faces were too big... I wanted to add some funny quotes like Condi saying, "Time to get my groove on." Or Qaddafi saying, "Nobody understands us." But, eh....
I tried sending an email to Matt Davies this week. A total fanboy email that got no response. Oh well. I still have only received one email from a major political cartoonist (Ann Telnaes, apologizing for her website being down). I'm starting to consider more serious ways of publishing a few cartoons. There are a couple syndication sites... some crappy some good. I will look into their requirements next. Also I'm forming in my head a way to send local papers an email.

Another one I drew in Tucson. The way the Republicans played ot the media on their first convention day was pretty funny. I especially liked Bush sitting at a table with bottled water... I think we need a new verb for it... maybe gustaving?

I have a couple I need to upload (including this one), that I conceptualized over the weekend. We were in Tucson while Monet did a run.
Lot's of things to say about Sara... but this is a good start. I worry this is a bit sexist, a man creating woman, but hey, she did come out of nowhere (and she is sort of a Frankenstein monster, with her social conservative view patched together with some wacky feminism). Oh, and it is a reference to Frankenstein, which was written by Mary Shelley and well, an obvious work of genius.
Almost got into Mike Lester mode with the background, started drawing little gizmos and so-forth... but eh, too much too much...

Want to do a quick sketch before work.... Should redo.
Thought it would be funny how some of the Obama maniacs would react to Biden.

Done very quick with Leaf literally hanging on my back like a crazed monkey.
Had to draw one more Musharraf. He has been one of my favorite characters on the world stage. He was also the subject of the first cartoon I drew way back when...
