Really down on myself for not drawing more. Just trying to get momentum. Blah...

Quick one.... no time to draw for weeks and weeks. Stuck in Moab and working on the house. Very frustrating. Makes me feel like all my inertia is gone and my cartooning project is doomed. I wanted to get some good drawings of all the main political peole on the intro page. WHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an attempt at a home page (with some color). I will have links to the Cartoon Blog, the Portfolio images, and a Bio/Contact page. I'm not very adept at color in PS, so I made it very simple.

The idea was to make Uncle Sam look fried, like he was on tour with some hair band from the 1980's. Maybe as if he was doing some VH-1 special. I'm even trying to come up with a way to add the quote, "I was really big in the '80's" or "The 2003-2008 Iraq War comeback tour." Maybe have some Cheap Trick playing in the background. Anyway, this is sort of how I see the U.S. right now... like a burned out rocker with a lot of leftover ego.

Doug pointed out that my George W. from my last cartoon sucked. I need to work harder on these caricatures.

I'm about a week behind in topics, because once I come up with an idea, it takes me a week to draw it and upload. Still trying to come up with a portfolio plan. I tried making a category in this blog, but I don't think it works that well. I may need two blogs? or just a special page....

Also, I want sort of a political cartoon home page with links to the cartoon blog, portfolio, and maybe a bio?

Back to using the Artline pens and much happie with the result. The drawings lately are a bit simple, but I'm just trying to get back to doing caricatures.

Is this cartoon in bad taste? I can't tell....
